Why Use Oils?

Lauren Kinney

It is a common misconception that oils will clog our pores.  Big, drug store skin care companies will have you believing that "oil-free" is best.  The exact opposite is true, in fact.  Our skin requires oils and regular use of healthy oils will help regulate your skin's natural sebum production over time.  Common store bought moisturizers are full of water, fillers and chemicals, none of which improve the health of your skin.  Our oil serums use minimal, high quality, organic oils and essential oils that truly change the look and feel of your skin.

Rosehip Seed Oil, which can be found in our best-selling Rewind Serum and Rose Serum is ideal for mature, dry or dehydrated skin.  It is extremely high in essential fatty acids and contains trans-retinoic acid which is similar to the active ingredient in Retin-A.  Rosehip Seed Oil increases skin's cellular metabolism; meaning new, healthier skin cells are created more quickly.  Regular use greatly reduces scars, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, UV damage and premature aging.

Jojoba Oil is perfect for those with oily, acne prone skin and can be found in our Clear Serum. This 'dry' oil is completely non-comedogenic, meaning it will not clog pores.  It is deeply moisturizing and rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids.  Overtime, Jojoba Oil reduces the appearance of pores (can I get an amen!) and regulates skin's natural oil production.

Grapeseed Oil, which can be found in our Soothe Serum is sensitive skin's best friend.  This thin, slightly astringent oil is absorbed easily and leaves skin feeling soft, deeply moisturized and calm.  Grapeseed Oil helps to even skin's complexion and is rich in healthy fats.
